American singer and rapper Doja Cat was born as Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini on October 21, 1995, in Tarzana, CA. Her birth sign is Libra and she named herself Doja, inspired by the slang word “dojo,” which means weed. Her love for cats led her to come up with the second part of the moniker.
Doja Cat’s EP Purrr! came out in August 2014. With “Candy” she kicked off the “Sweet Spot” viral dance on TikTok that has been performed by stars such as Charli D’Amelio, the Lopez Brothers, and Addison Rae.
